I'm an African Giraffe

A lonely giraffe in Africa writes a letter, which it asks a pelican to take to someone living "on the other side of the horizon". Presently the pelican brings a reply from a penguin. In the correspondence that follows the giraffe and the penguin discuss their differences and try to imagine what it would feel like to be the other.
