Diary of The White Fox

The fox's ability to adopt various disguises, even human ones, is a common ingredient of Japanese folk stories, and often incorporated into Kabuki and other traditional dramatic arts. In this novel, the author adopts one such fox as his central character in a story about warring samurai clans of the 12th century.
