Photographer Imamori meets Sangoro, an old fisherman who smells of water, on the west shore of Lake Biwa in Japan. He fishes with traditional tools for his wife and himself, sharing his catch with herons and kites. At the end of this beautiful journey, Imamori discovers what Sangoro's smell reminds him of.
