Taro Miura
Born in 1968 in Aichi prefecture, Miura graduated from Osaka University of Arts, where he specialized in silkscreen printing.
He was first awarded a Fiction prize at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2001, and has now won prizes at the same competition for Fiction or Non-Fiction every year since 2003. Many of his works are published overseas, by companies such as Italy’s Edizioni Corraini and Spain’s Media Vaca. A father himself, Miura is especially acknowledged in Japan for his series of infant picture-books.
