Mitsuhiko Imamori Mitsuhiko Imamori
Born in 1954 in Shiga Prefecture. When still a university student, Imamori began to take trips around Malaysia and Indonesia with a camera in one hand, and after graduation began work as a freelance photographer. From then on, he took photos studying diverse environments such as tropical rainforests and deserts through the insects living in them. The winner of many prizes and awards, he is interested in passing on his enthusiasm to children, and organises regular observation events. Living in the mountains near Japan’s biggest lake, Lake Biwako, Imamori is continually observing the lives of the living beings around him.
